Guesthouse
The “Bärghus am Musersbergli” belongs to the township of Jaun, the pearl of the Alpine foothills, in the county of Greyerz, one of the seven districts in the canton of Freiburg.
Surrounded by pastures, the Bärghus is a traditional alpine guesthouse that is located right next to the “Gastlosen-Express” chair lift, which is the starting point of the wonderful alpine hiking trail “Around the Gastlosen”.
The first part of the route (about 600 metres long) is made up of the new panoramic trail, which is wide and slopes gently up to the viewpoint and thus allows the elderly as well as parents with small children to go for a lovely walk. At the viewpoint itself, you will be rewarded with a splendid view of the “Gastlosenkette” mountains.
The cosy and warmly decorated dining room is capable of seating about 70 people and offers a magnificent view of the beautiful valley of Jaun through its three large, panoramic windows.
In winter, the Bärghus serves as a retreat for skiers and hikers or as the starting point for moonlit sleigh rides. On request, we can also offer groups the fondue moitié-moitié by cosy candlelight.
